Make Ready Supervisor

Our company has an outstanding opportunity for a results-focused, highly driven and experienced Make Ready Supervisor.  This position will supervise and direct the make-ready and detail technicians in preparation of vehicles for delivery.

Job Responsibilities

  • Schedules preventative maintenance of all equipment
  • Assigns make-ready personnel and detail technicians to appropriate work areas
  • Enforces the proper use of the department's designated parking area, supplies, utilities, etc. in order to eliminate waste and maximize the profitability of the department
  • Manages work schedules and issue reprimands when necessary
  • Conducts performance reviews, and manages time cards, work schedules and issues reprimands when necessary
  • Monitors and organizes an effective and secure key system
  • Trains make-ready and detail technicians
  • Assures security of clients’ possessions
  • Orders and inventories make-ready supplies
  • Acts as liaison between department staff(s) and Sales Managers to facilitate the process for new and pre-owned vehicles
  • Details clients’ vehicles as needed
  • Helps with recruiting for department
  • Maintains strict adherence to dealership policy on client vehicle care and operation
  • Notes damage and notify Service so a claim can be filed within 24 hours
  • Performs quality control inspection of all vehicles before being brought to frontline
  • Coordinates with Sales and Service to insure on-time deliveries
  • Enforces the proper use of the department’s designated parking areas, supplies, utilities, etc. in order to eliminate waste and maximize the profitability of the department
  • Attends weekly department meetings

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
